La federación de Rusia y la ciudad de Sochi están organizando el Match por el Campeonato Mundial de Ajedrez de la FIDE 2014 . Se lleva a cabo del 7 noviembre-28 noviembre 2014.
Se enfrentan el campeón del mundo Magnus Carlsen (Noruega) y el ganador de los Torneo de Candidatos 2014 Viswanathan Anand (India). Se juega en un plazo máximo de doce partidas y el ganador será el primer jugador en ganar 6,5 puntos o más.
